American Legion at 1009 Central Ave NW in EGF serves dinners from 5-7 pm weekdays. They have some very reasonable prices for full dinners during the week from 5-7 at $6 to 7 on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Thursday is Taco Night from $1.50 to about $5.00. On Friday evening they serve prime rib for $11.99. (You don't have to be a member.) 

Applebee's at 2851 S Washington St has 30% off on Wednesdays for seniors but don't forget to remind your waiter. We have noticed their two-for-$20 deal is sometimes better, if that is what you want, rather than the 30% off.

China Garden at 2550 32ndAve S is where neighbor tells me he and wife go for lunch occasionally. He says they have good and tasty lunches during the week from 11:00 to 2:30- often for about $6. Of course, they have the best takeout in town!

Denny’s Restaurant at 3770 32nd Ave S offers a free ‘build your own meal’ on your birthday.

Grand Forks Senior Center at 620 4th Ave S offers weekday breakfasts and noon lunches according to their on-line schedule for March, 2020. The full cost of a breakfast meal is only $5.50, and  full cost of the lunch is $9.00. However, each person is responsible to contribute what they can. The suggested donation for breakfast is $2. 00 and $4.25 for lunch. Persons under 60 years of age are required to pay the full cost of the meal. 

Don’t forget to sign up for their newsletter to receive notices about their Thanksgiving and Easter dinner events.

Ground Round at 2800 32nd Ave S has two-for-one burgers on Tuesday's and you are not required to buy any drinks.

IHOPat 3951 32nd Ave S gives a Rooty Tooty Fresh ‘N Fruity (four pancakes with your favorite fruit topping) on your birthday. Also, when you eat there if you fill out their survey you get a code back for a free short stack of pancakes on your next visit. 

Kegs Drive-in at 901 N. 5th St. is a historical icon in GF. They have some of the best sloppy Joe's around along with the only homemade onion rings I know of in town. We also like their cherry Coke's. They don't have any real deals though but I want to support one of my favorite eateries. If you are not from Grand Forks this was our version of the movie “American Graffiti” hangout in the sixties with hot cars cruising bumper-to-bumper around the block on a weekend in the summer!

McDonald’s has an app we use a lot. I am surprised at how many good deals they have on our favorite foods.

Northside Cafe at 3450 Gateway Dr offers decent breakfast specials up from 6-9:00 am.

Paridiso Mexican Restaurant at 905 S Washington S has two-for-one burritos on Mondays but you have to buy some kind of a drink – such as soda or booze. They also offer a free birthday meal with purchase of some kind of drink.

Red Pepper Barn at 1504 Central Ave NE has two-for-one Taco’s on Tuesday’s

Ruby Tuesday at 3915 32nd Ave S has some great deals if you sign up for “Ruby Tuesday Connected”. They email you daily deals. Recently I got one for a $5.00 buffet salad bar on Tuesday and on Wednesday it was a two-for-one entrée. Also watch the front page of the Friday Herald for a great two-for-one Sunday brunch coupon.

Sam’s Club at 2501 32ndAve S has several good deals at their little restaurant. The best one of the lot is the slice of pizza and a drink for $2.49 topped off with a $.99 frozen yogart.

Speedway Restaurant at 805 42nd St N offers two-for-one burgers on Mondays with drink purchases. Also, they give you half off on your birthday meal with no drink purchase required.

Southgate Casino Bar and Grill at 2525 S Washington St offers two-for-one burgers on Sundays from 11 am to 2 pm for $2.99. On Tuesday’s they have half price apps along with other daily specials. As far as I know they all require at least a soda purchase.

Texas Roadhouse at 3200 32nd Ave S offers what they call the “Early Dine” for $9.99 on Monday’s thru Thursday’s from 4-6 p.m. and 11-2 on Friday’s –Sunday’s. No drink required. 

Widman’s Candy Store at 106 S 3rd St has been in operation since 1911. Stop in for a free sample!

Forks Finest Car Wash at 1224 24th Ave S has a $5.00 car wash.

Sam’s Club Gas Station at 2501 S Washington consistently has the lowest price on gas but you have to be a member. If you are and you get their Discover credit card you get an additional 5% credited back. So for example this eve, 2-27-20 their gas was $2.129 and five gas stations on the way home were all $2.229 so that is over $.20/gallon savings overall.

Valley Diary Car Wash’s and Gas Station’s around town offer a free car wash if you buy a $9.95 wash on Tuesday’s (you must use the free one within 30 days). They have a rewards card to get a car wash for gas purchases. As of 2-27-20 it was 1 stamp for 7.5 – 16.9 gallons, 2 stamps for 17 – 25.9 gallons, and 3 stamps for 26 gallons or more. When you get 24 stamps you get a free car wash.
